Call for Literary Translators
As we continue developing the Paranda project for Afghan women writers, we are looking to expand our pool of freelance translators working from Pashto, Farsi, or Dari, into English.
Untold’s writer development programme supports the work of structurally marginalised writers; shares their stories with wider communities in their own languages; and ensures their work reaches new audiences in translation.
Literary translators work closely with the writers, and a team of international editors. Engagement is on a freelance basis, working remotely. Untold’s literary translators are based in the UK and internationally. We have occasional in-person meetings, but only where possible.
Please send an expression of interest, with a CV to erin@untold-narratives.org by 6 May 2026.
