Professor Jinhee Choi and curator Sarah Allen explored women’s rights through Korean cinema and photography.

Professor Choi looked at how South Korean cinema has depicted girls’ bodies and highlighted women directors who are challenging the norm. Sarah Allen examined how artists use cameras to provide a place of solidarity and activism.

This event was part of the Bagri Samaya Series, A Woman Hums: Women, Voice, Creativity, in partnership with Untold.
